The Best New Movies and Shows on Netflix This Week
You (Season 4 – Part 2)
Just when you don’t think the creators of You can take Joe Goldberg’s wild story any further, they surprise us with yet another twist and turn. The second part of Season 4 finds Joe using a new alias as a teacher. He’s forced to hunt down a serial killer who’s framed him for several murders.
Part 2 of the fourth season of You will be available on March 9, 2023.
Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
Over the course of five seasons, Idris Elba entranced viewers with his riveting portrayal of John Luther, a self-destructive detective who becomes obsessed with the grisly murders he investigates. In Luther: The Falls Sun, he breaks free from prison to solve a case that’s haunted him for years.
Luther: The Fallen Sun will be available on March 10, 2023.
World War Z (2013)
One of the great head-scratchers of Hollywood over the past decade has been the failed revival of the World War Z franchise. Initially envisioned as a trilogy, the first film was a box office success (earning $540 million worldwide), was fronted by one of the biggest names in acting (Brad Pitt), and had major directors attached (David Fincher, for starters). Yet, the trilogy never came to be. Many people still maintain that World War Z was one of the best modern zombie movies in recent memory.
World War Z will be available on March 7, 2023.
Outlast (Season 1)
Netflix has become a major player in the reality competition series market over the past several years, and Outlast is its latest addition to the genre. The show follows 16 survivalists who traverse the Alaskan wild for a chance at a massive cash prize.
Season 1 of Outlast will be available on March 10, 2023.
The Glory (Part 2)
Revenge stories have become a prominent part of movie and TV show culture over the past decade, and The Glory is yet another addition. The show follows a young woman who intends to enact revenge on a number of people who bullied her in high school.
Part 2 of The Glory will be available on March 10, 2023.
The Best Movies and Shows Leaving Netflix This Week
Angels & Demons (2009)
The Da Vinci Code took the world by story after being published in 2000, and it wasn’t long until a movie adaptation starring Tom Hanks hit theaters. Angels & Demons was the much-anticipated sequel to the franchise. The film follows Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon as he discovers the resurgence of an ancient brotherhood that intends a deadly plot against the Roman Catholic Church.
Your last day to watch Angels & Demons will be March 8, 2023.
Bullet Head (2017)
John Malkovich? Adrien Brody? Antonio Banderas? Yes, they’re all part of this crime thriller that few people saw back in 2017. The film centers on three career criminals who hide out from law enforcement in a warehouse. However, they soon discover a greater threat awaits them inside.
Your last day to watch Bullet Head will be March 6, 2023.
Hap and Leonard (Seasons 1-3)
For the most part, movies exit the Netflix platform. But a handful of TV shows leave as well, and the most intriguing option this week is Hap and Leonard. Over the course of three seasons and 18 episodes, fantastic actors like Michael Kenneth Williams, James Purefoy and Christina Hendricks star in a series of darkly comic misadventures.
Your last day to watch Hap and Leonard will be March 8, 2023.
