I simply cannot consider this working day has at last occur – Scott Pilgrim is being turned into an anime!
This is truthfully hilarious for me, for the reason that I only just viewed Scott Pilgrim vs. The Globe for the very first time and I observed how numerous of the battle scenes that had been showcased in that motion picture felt as if they had been taken suitable out of my preferred anime displays. And now, we’re heading to be having a complete-on anime of them, delivered to us on Netflix, merely titled, Scott Pilgrim The Anime.
But, who is going to be starring in this new demonstrate? And, when could it be coming out? For all your inquiries, below is what we know so significantly about Scott Pilgrim The Anime.
What Is The Scott Pilgrim: The Anime Premiere Day?
At the time of creating this, in April 2023, there is no established premiere date for Scott Pilgrim The Anime. Granted, it was just introduced a few of weeks ago, so I’m not that surprised that we haven’t gotten an official release day nevertheless.
Having said that, we do know that it’ll be coming to Netflix, so that could be a superior or a undesirable signal. In some cases displays on Netflix are inclined to release really rapidly, and other periods you might be waiting for several years for an update (hunting at you, Stranger Issues Season 4). So who truly is familiar with how prolonged this display is likely to acquire in terms of its arrival. I question it’ll be on any 2023 Tv premiere program, but it’s often great to feel in advance.
The Unique Cast From The Film Adaptation Is Returning To Voice The Figures
For those people who don’t bear in mind Scott Pilgrim vs. The Environment, there had been so many stars in that movie that it is hard to maintain track. But, surprise, shock – the entire forged of the initial movie is heading to occur again to voice their respective figures, which will come straight from the Tudum (opens in new tab) announcement relating to the series.
This involves major names this kind of as Michael Cera coming back to voice the titular job, Chris Evans as a person of the evil exes, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona, Kieran Culkin as Wallace, Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers, Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim, Brie Larson as Envy Adams, Johnny Simmons as young Neil, Ellen Wong as Knives Chau, Mark Webber as Stephen Sills, Alison Tablet as Kim Pine, and Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, and Jason Schwartzman also coming again for their roles as the Evil Exes.
I mean, just from this forged-list by yourself, it currently seems insane and it’s so brilliant to have them back. Scott Pilgrim vs. The Entire world released again in 2010, and so many of these actors have experienced main occupations considering that then that have really manufactured them massive stars.
Chris Evans, who posted about his exhilaration on returning to the franchise on Twitter with the reaction, “Increase!” has develop into identified for his purpose as Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and afterwards moving to other roles in videos and series this sort of as Knives Out and Defending Jacob.
An additional star from the film that shared her adore for the movie on Twitter was Anna Kendrick. She has had important occupation breakthroughs because 2010, with roles in flicks these kinds of as Pitch Excellent, A Basic Favor, and additional, so it’ll be wonderful to see her return to her part.

Really, so many fantastic stars are coming back and I can not wait.
The Anime Is Based mostly On The Scott Pilgrim Graphic Novels Of The Identical Name
When I’m sure that most of us know about Scott Pilgrim vs. The Entire world, and the solid of that film is coming back to voice these people, be informed that the anime is not a sequel to the movie. We are not likely to see a continuation of the figures we know.
Fairly, it is an anime adaptation of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels that is seemingly even far better than just a “straight” adaptation from the books, according to what the movie’s director, Edgar Wright, claimed in the Tudum announcement.
The graphic novels abide by the titular character who lives in Toronto, Ontario and follows the tale of him striving to date Ramona Bouquets but only immediately after defeating all of her 7 evil exes in order to get her heart. Actually, a tale of the ages.
The Series Will Be Animated By Science SARU
There are so several anime studios out there, such as MAPPA (which produces significant displays like Assault on Titan or the dim Chainsaw Person), or WIT (which makes exhibits this kind of as Spy x Loved ones and extra), but Tudum confirmed that Science SARU will be adapting it for Netflix.
The business is the title behind these anime like Star Wars: Visions, Devilman Crybaby, and additional, so I have religion this demonstrate will be in great hands.
Edgar Wright Is Going To Operate As An Government Producer On The Sequence
Edgar Wright, who directed the movie, is also confirmed to be functioning as an govt producer for the anime series, in accordance to the Tudum announcement. In a quote that was released, he stated that this was a prolonged-time in the generating, as the solid experienced remained near, and now he’s so enthusiastic to see it arrive to life:
Around the several years admirers experienced asked if there would be a sequel to the film or some other type of continuation. I realized that a stay motion sequel was unlikely, but I would ordinarily defer by suggesting that probably an anime adaptation was an intriguing way to go. And then, lo and behold, one particular day Netflix bought in touch to inquire about this correct plan. But even superior, our brilliant creator Bryan Lee O’Malley had an notion that was way more adventurous than just a straight adaptation of the first textbooks.
Just studying that will make me so psyched.
The Collection Will Aspect Authentic Music
A person of the most effective parts about Scott Pilgrim vs. The Globe was the fun music that we bought to pay attention to throughout, whether or not that be some brilliant rock, crazy digital new music, or the traditional tune that Envy Adams sings.
Arguably, the music is what I remembered the most from the authentic motion picture, simply because it just matched the vibe of all the things else nuts likely on that we saw. Even if the movie didn’t do as effectively at the box place of work, admirers enjoy the soundtrack to this day.
Fortunately, Scott Pilgrim The Anime is likely to be relocating in that route as properly, so get completely ready to shift your body once once more. Verified by Netflix, the new anime will attribute original songs by Anamanaguchi, so we’ll be finding loads of new songs to bop our heads to.
What are you the most enthusiastic for when it comes to Scott Pilgrim The Anime? I will need to see a trailer now and get thrilled. It’ll be a pleasurable time, that’s for sure.
